What To Expect
Visiting Victory Baptist Church
Visiting any new church for the very first time can be an overwhelming experience. Your first visit to Victory Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcomed and "at home"! Here are a few frequently asked questions, and what you might expect on your first visit.
What type of church are you?
We are an independent, fundamental, Baptist church. For a better understanding of who we are, you may view our statement of faith.
What is a typical service like?
Our services begin with lively Christ-honoring music that prepares our hearts for the worship service. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Lyons. The entire service is a little over one hour in length. We hope you will join us for a great time of fellowship as we worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth.
Do you offer programs for children?
Yes. We have numerous classes, programs, and ministry opportunities for children from birth through high school. Nursery care is provided for every service. Elementary-aged children enjoy children's church, and other programs tailored for their age groups.
When are your services?
Sunday School - 10:00 AM
Sunday Morning Worship - 11:00 AM
Sunday Evening Worship - 5:00 PM
Wednesday Prayer Meeting - 7:00 PM
Where are you located?
We are located at 2284 Third Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36301 right off of Ross Clark Circle. Need Driving Directions?
How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Victory Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Victory Baptist!
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don't invite you to Victory Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
How do I contact the staff or Pastor?
You can do so by emailing us through our contact page.
Can I get a pastor to visit my home?
Yes! Fill out this form requesting a "Pastoral Visit" in the comments field so that we can arrange a visit.
